Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in computer science or a related field
  • Expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029 (rising Junior or Senior)
  • At least one previous software internship experience
  • Ability to start in May 2027 or June 2027 and have 10–12 weeks of availability
  • Ability to work/live within the United States or Canada for the duration of the internship
  • Ability to learn and use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, and testing, including reviewing and validating AI-generated code with mentor guidance
  • Motivation by Khan Academy’s mission
  • Proven cross-cultural competency skills
  • Eagerness to learn, educate, write code, and build products used by millions
  • Strong communication, thoughtfulness, and desire to give and receive regular feedback
  • Empathy for learners around the world
  • No particular programming language or tool is required
