About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a portfolio of loans in default
  • Implement loss mitigation strategies

  • Answer technical foreclosure questions from borrowers
  • Analyze workout options for delinquent loans, including foreclosure, short sale, reinstatement, and deed in lieu
  • Deliver proposals for the option yielding the best return for the investor
  • Negotiate loss mitigation strategies with investors
  • Set expectations with borrowers and involved parties regarding loan status and difficult decisions through final resolution
  • Manage relationships with internal departments and business partners
  • Track updates, analyses, and decisions in appropriate systems
  • Generate ideas for improvement and increased efficiency
  • Support implementation of new ideas and initiatives
  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Exemplary written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to guide customers and investors through retention and/or liquidation processes and navigate on their behalf
  • General knowledge of the entire loss mitigation process
  • Ability to independently work a pipeline effectively
  • Ability to complete secure biometric and device identity verification
  • Must meet employment eligibility verification requirements
