Key responsibilities & impact

Produce clean, appealing, and well-thought-out storyboard revisions and new sequences for a 3D animated series
Address Director and Client revision notes
Troubleshoot creative and technical issues related to revision notes
Interpret verbal, written, and drawn notes into visual solutions
Troubleshoot storytelling problems and develop solutions
Generate new thumbnails and tighten rough storyboard sequences when requested
Use existing templates and follow formatting guidelines and naming conventions
Meet deadlines and communicate foreseeable issues
Communicate work progress to the Storyboard Supervisor and Production Team
Back up and properly save artwork and prepare materials on time
Collaborate across productions and departments
Support junior artists through day-to-day mentorship
Participate in workflow and process discussions
Contribute to a positive team environment and support other studio needs as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience as a Storyboard Revision Artist for a 3D animated series using Storyboard Pro
Outstanding drawing skills and sense of appeal, design, character, and composition
Strong understanding of storytelling principles and techniques
Strong posing, acting, and dramatic and comedic timing skills
Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional and positive manner
Creative problem-solving skills
Proficient with Storyboard Pro 25
Working knowledge of Flow Production Tracking (formerly ShotGrid)
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Mail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs) and Slack
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and commitment to artistic and technical excellence
Home workstation with Windows 11 or Mac Sequoia 15.6–15.8 / macOS 26 Tahoe
