About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain customer demand according to supply agreements
Strive for maximum customer satisfaction, 100% on-time delivery (OTD), and minimum inventory levels (PDSOH)
Work with customers, operations, production, engineering, and business management
Learn and apply Kimball CFT (customer focus team) principles jointly with the program manager and team
Perform weekly/daily customer contacts and attend telecoms, quality meetings, and customer focus team meetings
Review customer purchase orders against the contract review checklist and help identify and resolve non-conformances
Document or verbally communicate non-conformances to the program manager and, when needed, the logistics manager
Assist with periodic sales tracking for all programs to understand revenue impacts and improvement opportunities
Learn SAP materials master definitions and the process and timeline for planned-to-release production orders
Report and understand forecast accuracy and customer order-entry metrics
Understand plant production efficiency and its relationship to the customer focus team
Work toward 100% customer on-time delivery
Attend internal customer PBRs (Periodic Business Reviews) and understand reporting areas that maximize customer satisfaction and economic profit
Develop knowledge of materials master definitions, economic order quantities, lot sizing, and customer KANBAN opportunities
Provide backup support for coworkers and programs during out-of-office and vacation periods
Develop supply chain management knowledge through training, seminars, or APIC courses
Understand all aspects of the demand planner role

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong communication skills and comfort with direct team and customer interaction
Ability to work within teams and make decisions
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of supply chain principles
SAP knowledge and familiarity with production routings, FERTs, HALBs, and materials master settings for an assembly
Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel knowledge, including pivot tables and lookup functions; ability to perform complex functions
Knowledge of production operations including SMT, TH-Wave Soldering, and Box-Build programs, or ability to adapt and acquire the knowledge
Flexibility in daily schedule and activities and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business
Desire to lead or participate in continuous improvement activities
