About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide input to regional category strategy based on market dynamics, supplier landscape, and business needs
  • Develop and drive regional execution plans aligned to global category strategy
  • Support and lead execution of regional and global category strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate with regional business stakeholders on category needs and strategy
  • Manage region-specific supplier relationships and resolve supplier continuity issues
  • Manage, track, and report category costs, sourcing initiatives, and results
  • Conduct market trend analyses and collect input to support category strategy development
  • Create and maintain category knowledge and processes
  • Monitor supplier performance indicators and initiate supplier reviews
  • Build effective supplier relationships and drive results
  • Maintain business relationships with suppliers and stakeholders through clear communication
  • Manage Asia regional category reports for timely delivery to the Asia Lead Team
  • Support Asia projects beyond chemical initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in business, supply chain or related discipline
  • 5–7 years of experience in Procurement, preferably experience in category management
  • Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills
  • Business acumen and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills
  • Project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Functional and technical awareness
  • Ability to work independently in a heavily matrixed organization
  • Local candidate already authorized to work in the role’s country
  • No relocation support provided
