About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research and monitor current developments in case law, legislation, and regulation at national and European levels
- Identify relevant topics for different communication formats
- Develop, write, and edit legal content for the law firm blog, online publications, newsletters, client updates, professional articles, and social media
- Present complex legal and regulatory topics in a clear, precise, and audience-appropriate manner
- Work closely with attorneys, legal professionals, and other subject-matter experts
- Transform specialist expertise into high-quality editorial content
- Further develop existing communication formats and contribute ideas for new formats
- Support the editorial planning, coordination, and publication of content
- Ensure content is up to date, high quality, and communicated consistently
- Take content structure, discoverability, and SEO requirements into account
- Monitor developments and trends in digital communications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in law, business law, or a comparable degree with a legal focus
- Alternatively, a relevant degree in journalism or communications combined with solid knowledge of legal topics
- Ideally, experience in legal editing, professional communications, or content creation
- Interest in digitalization, data protection, digital regulation, compliance, governance, information security, and AI
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to explain complex matters clearly and in an audience-oriented manner
- Independent, structured, and meticulous approach to work
- High standards of professional quality and a strong sense for relevant topics and formats
- Excellent German language skills
- Good English language skills
- Knowledge of SEO, social media, or digital editorial processes is an advantage
