About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Extract and analyze data to develop, prepare, and present timely, accurate, and reliable financial data
  • Provide financial recommendations based on prepared analysis for effective business decision-making
  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for functional groups
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and collect and consolidate data from relevant areas
  • Understand supported functional groups and model key drivers and metrics
  • Prepare monthly management reporting deliverables communicating actual performance versus budget and key metrics
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partner team to communicate objectives and forecast adjustments
  • Perform ad-hoc projects or support other Finance teams as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in a Commerce or Business program with a specialization/major in Accounting or Finance
  • Currently enrolled in full-time education or a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Any accounting, finance, or audit related work experience
  • Any knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
  • Strong business acumen and experience in financial modeling
