About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Cover the core responsibilities of the Site Experience Director during a planned leave of absence ending in mid-April 2027
  • Drive the site roadmap, including net new site features, site experience improvements, A/B testing, and SEO + GEO strategy
  • Prioritize new projects against the existing roadmap
  • Keep multi-week initiatives on track from planning through launch
  • Work with the Sr. Site Merchandiser to build and publish products, variants, and collections in Shopify
  • Ensure SKU-level accuracy across titles, variants, pricing, imagery, and size charts
  • Maintain collection sort orders, featured placements, badging, and navigation updates
  • Execute the promotional calendar, including price changes, discount codes, banners, and campaign landing pages
  • Compile and submit the weekly Merchandising & Site Performance Report
  • QA development tickets before and after deployment
  • Run weekly site sweeps for broken links, 404s, and merchandising errors
  • Maintain cross-sell widgets according to internal strategy
  • Manage development contractors, project requirements, monthly hours, and priorities
  • Own the Asana project management system and organize tasks within projects
  • Plan ahead and brief site experience weeks before launch so the Creative Team has adequate lead time
  • Keep merchandising SOPs current and extend AI-assisted workflows
  • Report directly to the CMO and supervise the Sr. Site Merchandiser

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years in ecommerce site merchandising, ideally in DTC apparel
  • Hands-on Shopify expertise, including building collections, configuring discounts, working with metafields, and editing theme content independently
  • Hands-on experience leveraging analytics and reporting tools
  • Ability to pull and assemble accurate data reliably against a deadline
  • Demonstrated accuracy under time pressure
  • Clear written communication and genuine self-direction in a remote, async environment
  • Recent experience using AI tools in day-to-day workflow
  • Preferred: Experience with Rebuy or a comparable product recommendation platform
  • Preferred: Experience with A/B testing platforms
  • Preferred: Experience managing external partners and teams, such as developers
  • Experience escalating relevant issues and working with partners to find quick resolution
  • Asana or comparable project management tooling
  • Maternity, nursing, intimates, or comparable apparel category experience
