About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Learn and perform duties of a first- or second-year apprentice under the Dematic Apprenticeship Agreement
Follow safety and employer rules and directions from the assigned journeyman electrician
Perform to Dematic Electrical Apprenticeship Standards
Attend required classroom training
Complete on-the-job learning objectives and maintain OJL work experience records
Support conveyor system layout and component pre-assembly
Install header steel, platforms, structural steel, conveyors, guard rails, racks, and air piping systems
Detail and run in installed equipment
Travel extensively for long periods across projects in the continental US

Requirements

What you’ll need

Perform as a first- or second-year apprentice under the Dematic Apprenticeship Agreement
Attend and satisfactorily complete required classroom training
Satisfactorily complete OJL objectives and maintain and submit OJL work experience records
Willing to travel 100% within the continental US for long periods
High School or equivalent
Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings
High degree of safety awareness
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to push, pull, squat, crawl, and walk around large construction sites in various climates and environments
Some computer experience preferred, including basic emailing, spreadsheet input, and report input
Valid driver's license
Technical degree or specialized training preferred
