About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate project contractual technical requirements into engineering deliverables and tasks, including design/layout, emulation, order entry, drawings, and commissioning
  • Identify engineering resources and assign tasks across project teams and external suppliers
  • Ensure deliverable and solution quality through established engineering standards and processes
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting engineering tasks
  • Monitor project/team performance and ensure KPIs are met
  • Deliver assigned work packages on time and within budget
  • Serve as the main contact for project management, installation, procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, and other stakeholders regarding engineering deliverables
  • Ensure third-party component and resale specifications are complete and accurate
  • Provide input on project schedules, engineering resource estimates, availability, and standard designs
  • Align with line managers regarding resource performance, skill sets, and availability
  • Track engineering progress and report project status
  • Create project status reports, financial forecasts, and schedule updates
  • Support risk management and mitigation by documenting, escalating, and managing project risks; prepare PSR/PVRs
  • Lead technical reviews and conduct post-mortems for continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics)
  • Prior experience leading project technical deliverables; material handling project experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering or project management
  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to deliver results
  • Demonstrated problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to navigate, influence and operate in a strongly matrixed global organization
