About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and oversee all engineering deliverables from project kick-off through customer acceptance
- Translate customer technical requirements into defined engineering tasks and ensure completion on time, within budget, and with quality
- Identify and assign tasks to appropriate engineering teams and coordinate activities across Engineering, CoEs, Software, and third-party providers
- Translate contractual technical requirements into deliverables and tasks, including design/layout, emulation, order entry, drawings, and commissioning
- Identify resources across engineering teams and external suppliers and assign project tasks
- Ensure deliverable and solution quality through adherence to established engineering standards and processes
- Identify and resolve issues affecting engineering tasks
- Monitor project/team performance and ensure KPIs are met
- Deliver assigned work packages on time and within budget
- Serve as the main contact for project management, installation, procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, and other stakeholders regarding engineering deliverables
- Ensure specifications for third-party components and resale are accurate and complete
- Provide schedule and engineering resource estimates with the SIM and influence use of standard designs
- Align with line managers regarding performance, skill sets, and availability of project engineering resources
- Track engineering progress and report project status
- Create project status reports, financial forecasts, and schedule updates
- Support project risk management and mitigation by documenting, escalating, and managing risks; prepare PSR/PVRs
- Lead technical reviews and conduct post-mortems to support continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics)
- Prior experience leading project technical deliverables; material handling project experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in engineering or project management
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to deliver results
- Demonstrated problem solver with excellent communication skills
- Ability to navigate, influence and operate in a strongly matrixed global organization
