About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support delivery of complex automated material handling systems across customer-facing projects
  • Develop and implement Project Qualification Plans with key stakeholders
  • Lead problem investigations using root cause analysis and corrective and preventive measures
  • Lead project management process audits and monitor timely fulfillment and action implementation
  • Lead and support on-site and supplier quality audits
  • Visit customer sites to evaluate processes and collaborate on improvement strategies
  • Engage internal stakeholders to review quality performance and feedback
  • Lead quality initiatives across project execution functions through cross-functional collaboration
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align priorities and resolve quality issues
  • Mentor and support teams in quality standards, lean tools, and continuous improvement
  • Communicate progress through data-informed updates and reports
  • Maintain documentation of audits, RCAs, CAPAs, and quality metrics
  • Provide management updates and presentations on quality status, issues, risks, and corrective-action progress

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering or Project Quality role
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline
  • Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification in ISO9001 QMS standards by recognised RTO
  • Strong experience with supplier and subcontractor quality management practices
  • Experience in project-based environments, ideally automated material handling, automation, or construction
  • Proven root cause analysis capability using Fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D, DMAIC, and PDCA
  • Familiarity with automated or control systems error-proofing (poka-yoke) solutions
  • Effective communication and ability to work and lead confidently with external and cross-functional teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites
  • Demonstrated experience leading discussions, building alignment, and presenting complex topics clearly
  • Collaborative working style and ability to build relationships across engineering, operations, SMEs, and customer teams
  • Strong analytical capability using Minitab, Power BI, and Microsoft Office
  • Australian work rights: permanent residency or citizenship
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
