About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and deployment of software applications for material handling systems
Architect scalable, high-performance solutions integrating with WCS, WIS, and WMS
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders on technical requirements and software roadmaps
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers
Conduct code reviews and enforce software development best practices
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance applications for reliability, performance, and scalability
Maintain software documentation, including architecture diagrams, user guides, and technical specifications
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
Shape automation and material handling software solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of professional software development experience
Strong expertise in C, C++, and JavaScript within Linux (RHEL) server environments
Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Proficiency with Git
Strong background in database design and management using Oracle and PostgreSQL
Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred: experience in industrial automation, supply chain, or material handling industries
Preferred: experience with WMS, WIS, or WCS and real-time system integration
Preferred: frontend development with QT or Angular
Preferred: cybersecurity best practices in software development
Proven ability to lead technical projects from conception to deployment
