About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own technical configuration for initial application setup and environment tuning for new and existing customer and internal deployments
  • Translate business and customer requirements into concrete technical configurations
  • Troubleshoot issues directly rather than only routing them to engineering
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during implementation projects
  • Develop and teach practical AI skills across the implementation team
  • Create reusable AI-powered tools, scripts, or skills to support faster implementations
  • Execute data and system migrations from legacy systems to Kivo
  • Support the evolution of Kivo’s migration toolset by identifying process efficiencies and AI tooling
  • Provide responsive technical support via email, chat, and ticketing systems such as Intercom and Jira
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and process-related issues
  • Triage and escalate complex technical issues to Engineering or Product with reproduction steps and customer impact assessments
  • Document common issues, resolutions, and best practices for the internal knowledge base

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years in technical implementation, solutions engineering, or a similar hands-on technical delivery role
  • Comfortable working directly in system admin consoles, config files, APIs, or scripting environments
  • Able to execute data and document migrations
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to build workflows, automations, or skills
  • Scripting ability in SQL, Python, JavaScript, or similar is a plus
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Able to work on-site in Portland, OR 2 days per week
  • Focus on customer success in a B2B role
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technical certifications
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities
  • Systems-thinking mindset and curiosity to learn and understand the why
  • Focus and commitment to customer success
  • Nice to have: experience building or customizing internal tools, bots, or AI agents/skills
  • Nice to have: familiarity with CRM/PSA or implementation tracking tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Salesforce, or Rocketlane
  • Nice to have: SaaS implementation or technical onboarding background at a B2B software company
  • Nice to have: prior experience in the life sciences industry
