About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform installation of semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide
  • Set up, align, calibrate, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair highly complex capital equipment
  • Troubleshoot software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems
  • Complete technical training covering company equipment, installation procedures, diagnostic techniques, and service aids
  • Prepare field service reports and daily installation progress passdowns
  • Report installation non-conformances
  • Contribute to post-activity quality feedback and improvement initiatives
  • Execute documented procedures and recommend process and procedure changes
  • Represent KLA to customers and ensure customer satisfaction with installation and upgrade activities
  • Manage readiness for extended overseas travel
  • Manage personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities during extended travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and 2 years related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite applications
  • Knowledge of computer theory and operating system software
  • Knowledge of networking in a Windows, Unix, or Novell environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in local or remote locations
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally an average of 60–70%
  • Must successfully complete required and ongoing technical training
  • Must obtain necessary international travel documents
  • Must be prepared to travel overseas for extended periods
  • Fresh graduates with the right demeanor will also be considered
