About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Hold pre-installation meetings with customers to scope unique requirements
- Create action plans to measure, confirm, and satisfy customer needs
- Validate deliverables with customers
- Install tools at customer sites to KLA specifications
- Perform system testing, including optical integration, precision alignment, wafer handler robot integration and teaching, camera and collection optics alignment and calibration, system-level calibrations, performance testing, stability and cleanliness testing, applications verification, and product wafer validation
- Solve complex system issues using abstract thought, data analysis, seven-step problem-solving methodology, and available tools
- Manage critical issues across customers and regions
- Meet customers after system testing to facilitate tool-performance verification
- Manage customer satisfaction through pre-activity, routine update, escalation, post-activity, and warranty meetings
- Perform install/customer-focused application testing to approve operational tool quality
- Provide new product installation training to worldwide customer support engineering
- Travel to advanced factories and customer sites as part of new product deployment projects
- Work in multicultural teams to meet project commitments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical degree/diploma in engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years semiconductor industry work experience is a bonus
- Panel of competencies in optical, mechanic, electronic, lithography, metrology, and laser technology is desirable
- Good technical and analytical skills
- Ability to understand and solve problems in software and electronic, optic, mechanical, electro-mechanical or electro-optical systems
- Knowledge of computer theory and operating systems, including MS Windows
- Good interpersonal/communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to project deadlines
- Available to travel internationally
- Domestic and international travel, including to the United States, is required
- Ability to work in multicultural teams
