About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and prioritize the CEO’s calendar and time, protect focus time, anticipate conflicts, and plan several weeks ahead
  • Ensure the CEO has the context, materials, agendas, and follow-ups needed for meetings and important commitments
  • Manage CEO travel, scheduling, expenses, reservations, and other administrative logistics end to end
  • Coordinate executives, board members, investors, candidates, customers, and other key stakeholders
  • Track deadlines, follow-ups, and action items so CEO commitments are completed
  • Support high-priority projects, meetings, company events, and CEO priorities with the Chief of Staff, Head of Operations, Workplace Operations, and other leadership
  • Maximize CEO effectiveness by creating proactive structure and preparation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience supporting a CEO or founder in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment, ideally at Series B stage
  • Understanding of startup velocity and ability to move quickly and confidently when information is incomplete
  • Ability to anticipate needs, see around corners, and solve problems proactively
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Clear, brief, professional, and responsive communication across internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion with confidential information and founder privacy
  • Ability to independently handle matters, determine what to escalate, and navigate competing priorities
  • Ability to collaborate productively with leadership without friction
  • Strong instincts for how the CEO should present across communications, meetings, travel, events, thank-you notes, and other touchpoints
