About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, launch, monitor, and adjust digital advertising campaigns, mostly on Meta, while coordinating with a Google Ads vendor
- Plan and publish social content across news, music, and development teams
- Support fund drives, new show launches, and station events with campaign plans, creative, and copy
- Brief and manage outside designers, illustrators, and videographers
- Create simple graphics and videos in Canva
- Run the day-to-day Business Community membership program, including renewals, member benefits, website listings, newsletter acknowledgments, and local business relationships
- Track campaign performance and report results
- Order station collateral
- Maintain marketing templates and documentation
- Work alongside the Director of Marketing, Communications and Government Relations, who sets strategy and provides guidance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Personally set up and run digital ad campaigns on self-serve platforms such as Meta, Google, Reddit, or Amazon
- Build audiences, write ad copy, set budgets, and monitor campaign results
- Strong writing skills, including developing and evaluating headlines
- Organization and attention to detail while managing multiple campaigns, departments, and deadlines
- Good visual judgment and ability to brief designers
- Comfortable contacting local businesses and maintaining business membership relationships
- Able to work a hybrid schedule from the Tacoma or Seattle studio and travel between the two occasionally
- Able to cover occasional evening or weekend events, less than once a month
- Submit a cover letter explaining interest in public media and the role
- A degree is a plus, not a requirement
- Graphic design or video editing, Canva, email marketing platforms, CRM or database experience, market research, and nonprofit or small-budget marketing experience are pluses, not requirements
