About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare and review the monthly close process to ensure timely, accurate, and valid financial information
Manage the general ledger and trial balance
Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, analyses, and supporting work papers
Support the invoice creation and distribution process
Prepare and analyze journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Analyze and interpret financial information to provide insights and recommendations to management
Review and improve accounting policies, procedures, and processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness
Assist with external audits and tax engagements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documents
Assist with multi-state sales tax returns, state income tax filings, and other state reporting requirements
Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, enhance processes, and strengthen teamwork
Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current practices and recommending changes

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-4 years of accounting experience
Experience with Sage Intacct (preferred)
Experience in a private equity-backed business (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
Experience in a healthcare or healthcare-related organization (preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA designation or desire to obtain strongly preferred
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and double-entry accounting principles
Analytical and problem-solving skills, highly detail-oriented and organized
Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships
Ability to communicate accounting matters clearly to appropriate staff
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities
Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
