Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and oversee internal and potentially client-facing projects from inception to completion
Ensure successful delivery within scope, on time, and within budget while exceeding stakeholder expectations
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets with stakeholders
Drive project execution by managing resources, tasks, and deliverables
Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
Serve as the primary stakeholder contact and maintain stakeholder relationships
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders
Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate scope changes
Lead cross-functional project teams and provide direction, guidance, and support
Foster collaboration, communication, teamwork, and accountability
Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards
Conduct project reviews and audits for process compliance
Identify process improvements and efficiency gains
Lead lessons-learned sessions and capture best practices
Contribute to project management methodologies, tools, and templates
Participate in PMO governance activities and keep Workfront information current
Assess requirements for new reports and create them in Workfront

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of PM experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
PMP certification preferred but not required
Experience managing projects at a software development company
Expertise in project management using various methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban)
Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Experience managing the project life cycle with tools like Jira, Workfront, and Microsoft Project
Ability to prioritize and reprioritize tasks across many concurrent efforts
Attention to detail and ability to capture tasks that might otherwise slip through the cracks
Unafraid to make mistakes, learn from them, and avoid making them again
Honest, enthusiastic, and positive person
Able and willing to travel as needed
