About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support complex international civil and criminal financial litigation as a member of case teams
- Attend client meetings under attorney supervision
- Support preparation for court appearances, client meetings, and witness interviews
- Coordinate with local counsel, experts, investigators and other external service providers
- Conduct factual and financial analysis
- Conduct legal research under attorney supervision
- Draft court documents under attorney supervision
- Review and analyze disclosure and legal documents under attorney supervision
- Manage day-to-day case and matter administration
- Prepare attorney and client binders
- Maintain case and firm information systems
- Participate in client matters, pro bono work, knowledge management and global business development
- Develop transferable skills in research, problem-solving, financial and quantitative analysis, project and matter management, and written and verbal communication
Requirements
What you’ll need- Genuine interest in Kobre & Kim’s work and commitment to remain with the firm for a minimum of two years
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university with a strong academic record
- Graduates from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including STEM, finance, social sciences and humanities
- Work authorization for your preferred location(s)
- Strong academic, analytical, research and written communication skills
- Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed, including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent teamwork, organization, project management, and attention to detail, with creative and anticipatory thinking skills
- Strong work ethic, proactivity, and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Native or fluent proficiency in two languages, as specified by location: Seoul: Korean & English; Hong Kong: Mandarin or Cantonese & English; Shanghai: Mandarin & English
- English resume/CV, English cover letter, academic transcript or documentation of academic performance, and two English writing samples
- Availability to start on January 19, 2027, or June 21, 2027
