About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess compression units, including needed calibrations, cleanings, controls, or system checks, according to Kodiak standards
- Escalate unresolved unit issues to a supervisor and/or manager
- Ensure required data collection is correct and complete
- Ensure all units are operating correctly
- Be present on location for every test performed
- Perform corrective action based on failed emissions testing
- Conduct follow-up tests when units are out of compliance
- Prepare and submit reports one day per week
- Communicate weekly with the supervisor regarding compliance issues and weekly schedule updates
- Maintain communications with emissions, operations, and customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- CAT and Waukesha commissioning certification preferred
- 2-3 years in natural gas compression or related experience
- OEM, trade school, or comparable work experience in a related field/industry
- Day-to-day completion of job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical intuition or ability
- Comprehension of OEM and miscellaneous technical manuals and literature
- Operation of commercial vehicles, specialty tooling, and cranes
- Strong mechanical aptitude/mechanically inclined
- Communication and customer service skills
- High level of organizational skills
- Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Positive attitude and high level of energy
- Nominal supervisory experience
- Ability to travel up to 50-75% of the time
- Overtime, extended, or non-traditional working hours may be required
- Ability to stand or walk on uneven terrain, climb personnel stairs and ladders, stoop, squat, and/or crawl
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, weather conditions, and varying environments
- Ability to work in a high-noise environment (>85 dBA) with ear protection
- Potential controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, squat, and twist for long periods
- Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet
- Ability to use common hand tools related to job needs
