About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a team implementing electrical systems for large-scale industrial construction projects
- Support mission-critical projects from pre-construction through final acceptance
- Manage project budget, schedule, and job controls
- Manage vendor relationships, submittals, and procedures
- Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities
- Plan procurement, design reviews, project controls, and work assignments
- Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements
- Support the overall construction schedule
- Prepare documents to obtain vendor quotes for materials, equipment, and specialty items
- Track material deliveries
- Interface with departments, divisions, and internal staff regarding budgeting, staffing, employee discipline, training and development, scheduling, and related activities
- Review engineering plans and vendor submittals
- Monitor crew assignments to ensure productivity goals are met
- Conduct field walks and spot checks of work performed
- Ensure compliance with county, state, and OSHA policies and regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience as a similar construction Project Engineer
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
- Ability to understand, interpret, and consistently apply safety laws and company policies/standards
- Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques
- Ability to build trust and achieve results with clients and company team members
- Ability to read drawings and interpret work specifications and work scopes
- Solid attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks as part of a team
- Compliance with county, state, and OSHA policies and regulations
