About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate all OSHA management programs
- Develop new and approved HSE training programs
- Ensure compliance with all agency regulations
- Implement ISO 45000-1
- Lead a cross-functional HSE Committee
- Create an enhanced first-responder program
- Drive Corporate Vision and HSE programs throughout the organization
- Communicate with and train machine operators, shipping and receiving personnel, and other production employees
- Create reports and PowerPoint presentations for senior management
- Ensure facility compliance with Kongsberg Automotive's HSE Minimum Requirements and KPIs
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements
- Report to the Quality Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Industrial/Environmental, Safety/Engineering or related field
- Associate's degree plus 3 years experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment will be considered
- Experience with OSHA, EPA, CT DEEP, ISO 14000-1/45000-1 required
- Strong MS Office Skills
- Excellent training and presentation skills
- Experience with EPA and State of Connecticut DEEP rules and regulations, particularly around VOCs, Hazardous Waste, StormWater Pollution Prevention and other environmental impacts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 7-day manufacturing operation
- Ability to communicate with and train machine operators, shipping and receiving personnel, and other production employees
- Knowledge of Kongsberg Automotive HSE Minimum Requirements, KPIs, and IATF 16949 requirements
