Senior Consultant – Logistics / Warehouse Planning

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage and lead warehouse planning projects, from analysis and preliminary and detailed planning through implementation support and commissioning
- Analyze material and goods flows and evaluate volume structures
- Develop layouts and warehouse technology concepts
- Select suitable warehouse technology together with clients
- Obtain quotations and coordinate the various trades through ramp-up
- Provide professional support for project acquisition and maintain existing client relationships, as an option
- Share expertise with junior colleagues, for example as a project mentor
- Advance own areas of expertise, such as robotics or data analysis
- Collaborate with the team on challenging consulting and planning projects, as well as with partners such as architects and plant engineering companies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed university degree, such as industrial engineering or business administration with a focus on logistics or supply chain management
- 5 to 6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in consulting, either external consulting or in-house consulting within an industrial company
- Practical experience in warehouse planning and warehouse technology across several completed projects, ideally in multiple industries
- In-depth knowledge of data analysis and proficiency in using MS Excel
- Strong conceptual thinking, including the development, comparison, and well-founded selection of alternatives
- Project management experience combined with strong technical expertise
- German at C1 level (business-fluent)
- Willingness to travel for client projects, approximately 80% within the German-speaking region (DACH) and, depending on the project, the remainder elsewhere in Europe
- Experience at another logistics consultancy is desirable
- CAD skills are desirable
- Initial experience with AMR/AGV systems is desirable
- English at B2 level is desirable
- Willingness to pursue long-term development toward Managing Consultant is desirable
