About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform installation, commissioning, validation support, troubleshooting, conversions, and maintenance for pharmaceutical machinery
- Support sales and project manager activities, including attending customer meetings
- Prepare and report duty documents, including technical reports and customer complaints, to external and internal parties
- Provide training to customers
- Communicate directly with product headquarters peers for technical clarifications
- Attend internal training at product headquarters factories or through on-the-job training at customer premises in Japan or abroad
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training in a technical field, preferably in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or information electronics
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a field service engineer in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in inspection, sterile filling, primary and secondary packaging is a plus
- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, including GMP, IQ, OQ, and validation processes
- Strong customer and service orientation
- Excellent communication skills
- Native-level Japanese proficiency
- Good written and spoken English
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Japan and occasionally to HQ abroad for FAT and training
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international sales/service team
- German is a plus but not required
- Leadership experience is not required
