About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and ship large, cross-team or cross-account projects independently
Diagnose unframed problems and identify opportunities before assignment
Set the quality bar and visual direction for an account or product line
Decide when to execute work personally versus creating scalable patterns, templates, or documentation
Own design decisions across multiple surface areas or product lines
Set AI UX standards and maintain pattern libraries and evaluation checklists
Use AI tools to accelerate exploration and prototyping while applying independent judgement
Evolve Koru's AI design practice
Build followership across teams through clear thinking
Mentor and sponsor designers across projects
Establish Koru as a strategic partner through the quality of its thinking and output
Lead initiatives that expand Koru's visibility or offerings
Improve Koru's internal design frameworks and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in product or UX design, mostly at a senior level or beyond
Portfolio demonstrating breadth of scope, measurable business outcomes, and leadership of ambiguous, cross-functional work end to end
Experience with B2B products and enterprise applications
HealthTech experience is a strong plus
Hands-on experience designing AI-powered features or AI-native product ideas
Comfortable prototyping in code or close enough to front-end development to validate ideas without waiting on engineering
Deep design skill and judgement
Applied understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in product design
Ability to set direction and raise the bar for people who do not report to you
Business acumen and ability to operate as a strategic partner to client leadership
Clear persuasive communication
