About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, implement, and support software platforms using Java and other platforms
Design and deliver intelligent software to orchestrate material-handling automated equipment, AGVs/AMRs, robotics, and other devices for warehouse operations
Partner with product managers to deliver robust software products
Participate in product backlog prioritization, story mapping, and story splitting
Translate simple to complex user stories into functional and actionable software
Analyze systems to identify bugs and ensure quality
Present solutions to technical teams and business users
Engage with device and robotics partners to align product roadmap and direction
Maintain developed systems and upgrade tools to keep them relevant and up to date
Work directly with customers to understand reported issues and schedule patches with fixes

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ Years of experience as a software engineer/developer building Java and Spring Boot software applications and services
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
3+ years’ experience with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and API Management
3+ years of experience with RDBMS such as MS-SQL and PostgreSQL
Skilled in writing and executing complex SQL queries and understanding relational databases
3+ years of experience defining, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs with JSON
Experience integrating with automated hardware, Robotics, and IoT systems
Experience with Git, Unit/Test automation, and CI/CD platforms to build and release code
Experience with BPMN, Camunda, or similar Workflow Manager Platforms
Familiarity with cloud technology including Event Streaming, PaaS services, and Cloud-Native patterns
Professional demeanor and ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and tactfully
Ability to mentor and guide team members toward the best solutions
Regular travel to KPI COEs or customer sites (up to 15%) required as necessary
