About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and deliver high-quality work on engagements to meet clients’ needs
- Manage delivery of a portfolio of internal audit services
- Work flexibly on other consulting projects as required
- Manage overall work requirements of engagements
- Develop understanding of clients’ businesses, issues, markets and developments
- Produce clear and well-presented client documents and reports
- Develop well-reasoned solutions recognising client constraints
- Meet clients and collaborate with them to deliver services
- Manage concurrent tasks under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Supervise and coach junior team members
- Engage in ongoing learning and responsible practice regarding the cultural history, societal interests and identity of Aotearoa New Zealand
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 6+ years of relevant practical consulting or experience in a risk associated role
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and controls
- Experience in the Big 4 is advantageous but not essential
- A relevant professional qualification
- Ability to think strategically
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to solve problems and fill knowledge gaps through questioning, collaboration and research
- Logical approach to planning and performing analysis tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Focus on delivering high-quality work
- Highly motivated team player with strong communication skills
- Exceptional report writing
