About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plans, executes and closes technology projects on time and within budget
  • Develops and maintains project plans, schedules, work breakdown structures and resource plans
  • Identifies, tracks and mitigates project risks, issues and dependencies
  • Coordinates the work of developers, database staff, testers and other technical team members
  • Serves as the main point of contact for client stakeholders on project status and decisions
  • Prepares status reports, briefings and project deliverables
  • Manages change requests and keeps project documentation current
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field required
  • 8+ years of IT project management experience, including leading technology implementation or modernization projects
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods
  • Proficient with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience supporting federal government contracts preferred
  • Agile certification such as PMI-ACP or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred
