About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, test and maintain Java application code
- Build and update web services and REST APIs
- Write SQL to work with relational databases
- Fix defects and support production issues
- Write unit tests and participate in code reviews
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies
- Document code and technical changes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field required
- 3+ years of Java development experience
- Experience with Spring or Spring Boot
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or Db2
- Experience with Git and a build tool such as Maven or Gradle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Ability to use common office equipment including computers, phones, scanners and printers
