About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and monitor security controls for systems and applications
  • Perform vulnerability scans and track remediation of findings
  • Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities under the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Develop and update security documentation such as System Security Plans and POA&Ms
  • Review audit logs and respond to security incidents
  • Advise development and operations teams on secure configurations and practices
  • Support security awareness and compliance reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field required
  • 5+ years of information security experience
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA and the Risk Management Framework
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus or Qualys
  • Security certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP or CISM
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Continual use of common office equipment including computers, phones, scanners and printers
  • Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk preferred
  • Experience with cloud security on AWS or Azure preferred
  • Experience supporting federal government contracts preferred
