About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and maintain complex application features and integrations
Translate requirements into technical designs and estimates
Write clean, secure and well-tested code
Lead code reviews and set development standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
Mentor junior and mid-level developers
Work with testers, analysts and leads to deliver releases on schedule
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field required
7+ years of application development experience
Strong experience with Java or another enterprise language such as C# or Python
Experience with relational databases, SQL and web services
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Continually required to use common office equipment including computers, phones, scanners and printers
Preferred: Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Preferred: Experience supporting federal government contracts
