About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide advanced technical support for servers, applications and end-user systems
Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software and network issues
Install, configure and maintain system software and updates
Support system upgrades, migrations and new technology rollouts
Write scripts to automate routine technical tasks
Develop technical documentation and procedures
Advise project teams on technical options and best practices
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field required
4+ years of IT systems or technical support experience
Experience with Windows and Linux or UNIX environments
Working knowledge of networking, Active Directory and system security basics
Scripting experience with PowerShell, shell or Python
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Ability to use common office equipment including computers, phones, scanners and printers
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft or Red Hat certifications preferred
ITIL Foundation certification preferred
Experience supporting federal government contracts preferred
