Key responsibilities & impact

Designs software architecture and components for new and existing systems
Develops, tests and deploys high-quality production code
Leads technical design reviews and code reviews
Improves system performance, scalability and security
Builds and maintains automated tests and CI/CD pipelines
Mentors software engineers and shares best practices
Works with product, test and operations teams to deliver releases
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field required
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong experience with Java, C#, Python or a similar language
Experience with software design patterns, APIs and relational databases
Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers
Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms, containers and microservices
Preferred: Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Developer or Azure Developer Associate
Preferred: Experience supporting federal government contracts
