About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide accurate consecutive interpretation primarily for medical settings
- Interpret for social services, customer care, and financial clients
- Maintain complete impartiality and confidentiality
- Start in over-the-phone interpretation (OPI)
- Progress directly to video remote interpretation (VRI)
- Work remotely from Latin America
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6–12+ months in remote medical interpretation
- C1 English level, demonstrated by EF SET 4-Skill, TOEFL, or CAE
- ALTA (9+) or LanguageStat/PICSI (75%–80%+) certification issued within the last 12 months preferred
- Mastery of medical and customer service terminology
- HIPAA and FWA certified, or willing to obtain
- Clean background check
- Hardwired Ethernet connection; Wi-Fi not accepted
- USB noise-canceling headset
- Windows 10 or newer with at least 4GB RAM
- Private, quiet workspace
- English-Spanish language proficiency
- Availability to meet monthly minimum interpreted minutes
