About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide accurate consecutive interpretation primarily for medical settings
- Interpret for social services, customer care, and financial clients
- Maintain complete impartiality and confidentiality
- Start in over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) with a direct pathway to video remote interpretation (VRI)
- Meet monthly minimum interpreted minutes
- Support communication across healthcare, legal, financial, customer service, and social service settings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6–12+ months in remote medical interpretation
- C1 English level (EF SET 4-Skill, TOEFL, or CAE)
- ALTA (9+) or LanguageStat/PICSI (75%–80%+) certification issued within the last 12 months preferred
- Medical and customer service terminology mastery
- HIPAA and FWA certified, or willing to obtain
- Clean background check
- Hardwired Ethernet (no Wi-Fi)
- USB noise-canceling headset
- Windows 10+ with minimum 4GB RAM
- Private, quiet workspace
- Ability to work as an English-Spanish interpreter in Latin America
