About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute events and meetings supporting strategic communications initiatives, Our Purpose & Promise, and related behaviors.
- Consult with business leaders and event planners on the design and coordination of key meetings and events for all audiences.
- Identify, adopt and operate virtual experience platforms to enhance audience engagement.
- Establish deliverable direction and expectations and articulate an engaging vision for events.
- Advise presenters on audience connection strategies and create or modify content onsite.
- Create and acquire presentations and media content from business partners.
- Establish creative direction with leaders while following relevant style guides.
- Provide event-layout feedback to vendors and virtual/physical stage direction to presenters.
- Manage and lead a team operating software and equipment for seamless events.
- Write and review program proposals, budgets, creative treatments and preliminary schedules.
- Project-manage resources, creative efforts, client communications and delivery dates.
- Monitor industry trends and equipment and experiment with new technologies.
- Create event plans, direct talent and production, collaborate with production staff, and perform editing and shooting tasks.
- Gather and act on feedback regarding event and program effectiveness.
- Evaluate, measure and report event and meeting effectiveness to improve future communications.
- Travel to events/divisions (50%).
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in a live events or video production environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge and leadership expertise of the total event production process, including presentation guidance, audio support, vendor management and camera direction.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously on deadline.
- Ability to think and produce strategically and creatively.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in multiple environments, including arenas, event centers, conference rooms and hotels.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as communications or film and video production (desired).
- Experience directing and managing large-scale in-person live and virtual events (desired).
- Portfolio/examples of previous work (desired).
- Strong working knowledge of virtual meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom and BlueJeans (desired).
- Strong working knowledge of software and hardware such as PowerPoint, Playback Pro and AnalogWay switchers (desired).
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
