About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and manage client engagements from client interaction through staffing, resource management, work planning, and timely completion
Execute valuation and analytics projects, including client deal-team interviewing, engagement economics, team management, model development and review, report writing, research, and tracking market and industry information
Write technical reports, client-focused marketing materials, and presentations
Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional client service and understanding of client needs
Interview clients to gather engagement data
Develop deep technical expertise in alternative-asset valuation and share knowledge through training and mentoring
Address client, auditor, and investor questions
Articulate and defend modeling approaches under scrutiny
Work on a wide variety of valuation and advisory projects covering structured products, whole-loan portfolios, alternative investments, private equity, esoteric assets, and other financial instruments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models
Experience with DCF and market approaches, structured investment models, and whole loan models
Experience with credit analysis, structured securities, and whole loan valuations, including RMBS, CMBS, and ABS
Experience with Intex, Bloomberg, Andrew Davidson & Co., or other relevant tools
Technical skills in valuation of diverse asset classes, valuation theory, methodologies, applications, and financial models
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing client relationships and mentoring and developing staff
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information
Strong attention to detail
Ability to master new tasks quickly
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and balance long-term priorities with short-term deliverables
Experience working with diverse teams
Fewer years of relevant experience may be considered with higher academic qualifications, such as a PhD or second Master's degree
