About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather application functionality and non-functional requirements
Convert requirements into overall IT infrastructure designs and implementation solutions for client business services
Analyze and right-size the customer's existing environment for public-cloud transformation
Design and implement infrastructure on public cloud AWS
Migrate virtual and physical infrastructure from the as-is environment to newly built AWS infrastructure
Craft infrastructure migration strategies, principles, and high-level and low-level public-cloud design documents
Create AWS Landing Zones following the AWS CAF perspective
Perform FinOps assessments
Design and deploy cloud-based disaster-recovery solutions
Design and implement hybrid-cloud setups, networking, and security
Evaluate and recommend infrastructure solutions for seamless business-service migration
Ensure appropriate IT practices and measures are in place

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud build projects, cloud migration/transformation, and Active Directory migration
Ability to understand business requirements and transform them into robust and efficient solutions within optimized efforts and budgeted costs
Minimum 6+ years of experience with IaC, automation, and DevOps tools, including Terraform and Ansible
Hands-on experience in shell scripting
Good experience in hybrid cloud setup and network integrations
Good experience in hybrid cloud setup, networking, and security
Good experience integrating SaaS offerings, especially infrastructure-domain offerings, IAM, and Azure AD
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware Infrastructure 4.x/5.x/6.x
Knowledge of VMware Licensing, Hyper-V 2008R2/2012R2, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, and Microsoft Licensing
Experience with AWS cloud services for networking, security, computing, storage, and disaster recovery
Experience with migration tools and data replication tools
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows 2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2 and licensing
Experience with Active Directory Services and Failover Clustering Services
Technical knowledge of AD, LDAP, NTP, and SMTP services, including upgrading and migration
