About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategic development, execution, and governance of promotional strategies and activities for miv-cel and future pipeline products
- Define and own global promotional strategy aligned with brand strategy, corporate objectives, and patient needs
- Shape promotional narratives, messaging frameworks, and omnichannel engagement strategies for launch readiness and long-term brand growth
- Oversee budgets and manage agency of record and other agency partnerships
- Develop peer-to-peer and patient programs and promotional materials across digital, field-based, congress, and non-personal promotion channels
- Ensure promotional materials are scientifically accurate, balanced, differentiated, and compliant
- Develop the commercial launch Plan of Action for field sales teams and coordinate with Commercial Training
- Provide strategic guidance on conference and sales meeting plans
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR, Sales, Legal, Clinical, Regulatory, Patient Advocacy, and Corporate Affairs
- Lead promotional readiness for product and indication launches, including message testing, omnichannel planning, conferences, sponsorships, and strategic and tactical promotional plans
- Evolve promotional strategies post-launch based on market expansion strategy, market feedback, performance data, and competitive dynamics
- Establish and manage Promotional Review Committee review processes and serve as a senior escalation point for complex promotional issues
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing marketing promotions team and agency partners
- Establish scalable best practices, processes, and capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years’ experience in marketing, including digital and social media, promotional regulations, PRC processes, and compliance standards
- Demonstrated success leading promotional strategy for cell-therapy, specialty, rare disease, or complex scientific products, ideally including launch experience
- Deep experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing promotions
- Strong understanding of regulated promotional environments
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills and ability to influence and align senior stakeholders
- Executive presence and strategic judgment in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- Exceptional communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Demonstrated ability to set a vision, lead change, and mentor others
- Strategic vision, cross-functional leadership, project management, and ability to influence with and without authority
- Firm command of agency and financial management, revenue forecasting, and expense budget planning and tracking
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and contributing at the executive leadership level
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred
- Biotech sales experience is a plus
