About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Test L3Harris products and systems in customer scenarios with an end-user focus
Contribute to test plans and procedures
Set up, configure, and operate sophisticated data and voice communication equipment
Generate trouble reports to communicate issues found and characterize repeatability
Work with development engineers to suggest and support trouble-report resolutions
Refine team procedures, practices, and collection and reporting of performance data
Support new business pursuit activities, including demonstrations, proposals, application information, diagrams, and write-ups
Occasionally travel and interact with customers to support business pursuit activities
Execute field test exercises to verify requirements and validate operational and mission scenarios

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary / Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
Some familiarity with RF communications and propagation
Knowledge of / experience with networking including TCP/IP, LAN and WAN technologies
Strong documentation skills for test development, test enhancements, and status reporting
Strong adaptive learning skills
Effective communications skills across a variety of employee levels
Ability to support multiple projects at one time
Prior military or professional communications experience including radio operation and/or repair/troubleshooting
Familiarity with Tactical Communications technologies and applications
Ability to work outside in virtually all weather conditions applicable to the Rochester, NY area
Ability to occasionally lift and install equipment and work in and around vehicles
Driving L3Harris vehicles is a requirement of the job
