About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support L3Harris Technologies’ Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Provide field support across Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and British Columbia, Canada
  • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on network equipment, telecommunications equipment, and/or computers
  • Maintain records on repairs, downtime, changes, and updates
  • Serve as the point of contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk or NOC

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Thorough knowledge of the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications-related systems and/or equipment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft or UNIX operating systems and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance
  • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record required for employment
  • Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, or A+ preferred
  • Ability to work from home in an “on-call” status preferred
  • Capable of lifting 70 pounds
  • Working knowledge of cable connectors including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449
  • Working knowledge of fiber, Multiplexes, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, and Voice and Data applications
  • Working knowledge of power testing, AC and DC including 3 Phase AC, and configuration and operation of 24VDC and 48VDC power supplies
  • Experience with network and circuit testing using T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
