About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply systems security engineering methods, practices and technologies to architecture, design, development, evaluation and integration of systems and networks
  • Define and implement security protection needs, concerns and requirements throughout the system lifecycle
  • Work with systems developers and commercial product vendors to design and evaluate secure systems, networks and database products
  • Use encryption technology, vulnerability analysis and security management methods
  • Integrate security methods into a cohesive system security perimeter and environment
  • Implement policies and procedures to monitor and maintain secure environments
  • Prepare Certification and Accreditation documentation using DITSCAP, DIACAP, DCID 6/3, Common Criteria and NIST 800-37
  • Represent program security needs and requirements at customer meetings
  • Lead assessment activities for security and privacy controls in embedded systems using NIST 800-53
  • Develop RMF accreditation and authorization documentation and Body of Evidence packages
  • Support security engineering, basis of estimate, requirements, design, testing, configuration management and information-system maintenance activities
  • Assist with policies and procedures for emerging security technologies
  • Support security architecture improvement, obsolescence replacement and vulnerability response projects
  • Lead anti-tamper development and implementation throughout the System Development Lifecycle
  • Assess systems for Critical Program Information, conduct trade studies, develop anti-tamper requirements and implement security architectures
  • Conduct threat attack/countermeasure analysis and verification and validation activities
  • Draft Program Protection Plans, Cybersecurity Strategies, Security Classification Guides and Anti-Tamper Plans
  • Interact with customers to define anti-tamper requirements, solutions, costs, implementation, system impacts and effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD 8140 certification (or NIST 800-181), appropriate for the position within 6-months of start
  • Experience leading programs through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation and authorization processes, including RMF steps 1–4
  • Experience with standard Body of Evidence (BoE) package development and A&A package processing
  • Experience in RMF accreditation of Platform IT (PIT) systems
  • Experience configuring and using ACAS and SCC
  • Experience with DoD software selection and approval processes for COTS, GOTS and FOSS
  • Experience with security testing and verification
  • Experience as Control Account Manager (CAM) with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools
  • Experience as Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL)
  • Preferred: NSA Type 1 Certification; NSA High Assurance products, IASRD and SERD requirements; DoD 5200.39; NIST 800-160; anti-tamper and program protection experience
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is highly desired
