About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the DevOps team in designing and deploying software development pipelines
  • Lead integration of disparate systems for customer end systems in air-gapped environments
  • Architect, implement, and maintain features using Git, Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes
  • Automate DevOps through scripting and software application development
  • Manage and implement development tools in secure/classified environments
  • Ensure end-to-end encryption and secure communication channels
  • Implement and manage certificate exchange authentication processes
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters for scalable application deployments
  • Maintain Linux infrastructure and software development pipelines
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure and servers using Salt, Ansible, and Puppet
  • Create tools to improve automation and reliability and continuously improve the pipeline
  • Promote continuous improvement and explore new technologies
  • Document and update systems security operations and maintenance activities
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
  • Software development experience
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Salt, Ansible, and Puppet
  • Experience developing software pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab-CI, and Artifactory
  • Experience with application containerization and on-premises Kubernetes integration
  • Linux development experience
  • Working knowledge of software engineering and quality assurance processes
  • Ability to script in languages such as Python, Bash, and Groovy
  • Object-oriented software development in memory-safe languages
  • Experience with Bash, Python, Make, CMake, and C++
  • Experience with RHEL 7/8/9 and Ubuntu or Debian
  • Knowledge of network firewalls, routing, subnetting, and port mappings
  • Experience with SELinux, FAPolicyd, and security scans
  • Experience developing, implementing, and integrating REST APIs
  • English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • RHCE and security certifications such as CISSP or Security+
  • Travel requirement of less than 10%
