About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead capture and business development initiatives for the Supply Chain team to secure new and follow-on contracts
Manage all Supply Chain aspects of the pursuit and proposal process
Develop technical solutions, management solutions, cost elements, and contractual terms and conditions
Develop capture strategies and business solutions for pursuing opportunities
Gather market intelligence and identify attractive market segments, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and price-to-win
Identify appropriate pursuit team resources
Collaborate with Business Development, Proposal Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, and Finance
Formulate solutions that meet customer needs and deliver optimal value
Ensure submitted proposals are compliant, competitive, and executable after the win

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Knowledge and experience of the proposal process, risk mitigation, and project management as it relates to supply chain
Previous experience implementing change to improve processes
Ability to lead others
Ability to make strategic decisions while delivering results
Previous experience preparing and delivering presentations
Ability to travel up to approximately 25%
Basis of Estimate writing experience
Negotiation experience
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience, or graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
10+ years in supply chain, capture management, and international source development
High attention to detail
Ability to manage and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment focused on problem resolution and process improvement
Strong organizational and time management skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
Advanced business knowledge
Proven team player with outstanding customer relationship skills
Leadership capability to guide business or functional teams without a formal management role
