About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including internal and external stakeholders and subcontractors
Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget
Develop and implement integrated project schedules with the company scheduler
Own project budgets, resources, risks, and delivery schedules
Ensure project activities meet time, cost, and quality targets
Coordinate cross-department tasks and engage with customers to deliver milestones
Conduct project risk reviews and develop and deploy mitigation strategies
Provide regular project status reports to division-level management
Assist senior management with programme and business performance
Motivate and manage project team members, supporting their continuous development
Manage end-to-end bids and proposals from submission through customer engagement
Contribute to improving formal processes and procedures within the Project Management Team
Oversee the full programme lifecycle from proposal preparation and submission through project completion
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience in project management
Proven track record of managing complex projects, particularly in highly regulated industries such as Defence and Aerospace
Experience in a manufacturing environment delivering production contracts is desirable
Formal project management qualification such as APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent project/programme management experience
Right to work in the UK
UK nationality may be required due to the nature of the work
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be subject to government security checks
Ability to obtain security clearance
