About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform integration, testing, installation, and customer support for Recon systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair Recon systems
- Test and approve operational quality of system equipment
- Instruct customers in system operation and maintenance
- Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters
- Interpret customer needs and clarify responsibility for problem resolution
- Repair, integrate, and test ES-3601, ES-3701, and ES-5080 Recon LRUs and systems
- Install Recon systems at CONUS and OCONUS customer sites
- Set up and operate RF test equipment according to test procedures
- Use RF test equipment, manuals, and specifications to demonstrate proper function and analyze malfunctions
- Repair, replace, and adjust equipment or components
- Inspect RF components for accurate assembly and defects
- Consult with Field Engineers, supervisors, and engineers to plan equipment layouts and resolve system operation and maintenance problems
- Install repaired equipment in industrial and military settings
- Complete required documentation for review and submission
- Test, pack, ship, install, and operate RF systems/equipment at remote locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting equipment and reading and interpreting RF/electronic/mechanical schematics
- 4 years of related military experience or a 2-year technical degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- Ability to acquire Secret Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
- Technical understanding of military and/or civilian Radar/Recon equipment in RF Defense environments
- Demonstrable understanding of Radar/Communications systems principles, theory, and practical application
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing RF systems/equipment using schematics and simple and complex test equipment
- Ability to climb vertical ladders and stairways and work in tight spaces
- Ability to stand, kneel, and extend overhead for prolonged periods
- Willingness and ability to travel, including up to 30 days of continuous travel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and willing to learn
