About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain strategic alliances and partnerships established by the Purchasing organization
  • Manage incoming purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery-date fidelity
  • Manage assigned commodities to enable L3Harris production
  • Modify, maintain, and administer purchase orders and engineering changes
  • Create purchase order packages with required documentation, including price analysis and justification worksheets
  • Manage supplier relationships and assist with supplier-base strategies
  • Resolve supplier-base problems involving non-conformances, invoicing, receipt discrepancies, terms and conditions, and service levels
  • Conduct supplier conference calls and maintain strong vendor communications
  • Manage decommits and determine recovery schedules
  • Escalate issues to management and recommend courses of action
  • Ensure procurements comply with corporate and L3Harris policies, procedures, and signature authority
  • Assist with supplier capabilities and risk assessments
  • Provide training, guidance, and coaching to Procurement Agents in a non-supervisory role
  • Provide guidance on commodity events affecting company business plans
  • Maintain documentation control in compliance with FAR regulations and company procedures
  • Implement strategic goals and manage assigned projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and 0–2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
  • Contract experience, including knowledge of terms and conditions and other agreement-related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding and working knowledge of engineering documentation and product configurations
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a digital/remote environment
  • Experience in a government/FAR buying environment strongly preferred
  • Experience in SAP or CostPoint MRP systems preferred
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
