About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide end-user desktop support for systems and applications locally and across the classified WAN
- Perform routine system updates, patching, and hardening to reduce vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with applicable standards
- Partner with program engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver IT solutions aligned with program needs and schedules
- Communicate technical issues, risks, and recommendations to management and non-technical stakeholders
- Support classified Windows desktop systems and essential applications
- Combine system administration, network management, project coordination, and desktop/software support to ensure reliable and secure day-to-day operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices
- Current active TS/SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph
- Preferred: Hands-on experience supporting Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8/9, CentOS, and Ubuntu
- Preferred: Experience administering VMware or comparable virtualization platforms
- Preferred: Experience working with Commvault or similar backup and recovery solutions
